Everyone keeps arguing about free speech.
Wrong argument.
Nobody’s actually confused about whether people are allowed to talk. The Constitution isn’t under threat from a rapper, a late-night host, or a celebrity with a private jet and a public conscience. Speech is fine.
What changed isn’t the right to speak.
What changed is the business model of amplification.
