Nothing says “small government” like starving your citizens by accident. SNAP — the safety net that keeps 40 million Americans fed — just got tangled in legal ping-pong between two federal judges and one administration that can’t decide whether feeding people is a policy or a liability.
Trump’s team insists they’re “working on it,” which is political code for we’re Googling how to sound humane without spending money. A federal judge in Rhode Island ordered the administration to resume payments “as soon as possible.” Another in Boston called the suspension “likely unlawful.” Translation: hungry people now depend on which courthouse copy machine jams first.
